This is what I want young people to understand: that elections are not the end-all-be of our participation in politics and democracy.
Advocacies and campaigns are meant to be lobbied and fought for, election season or not. Election is probably the best time to put them [our advocacies] in the limelight, but I wish to emphasize that we should do groundwork year in and out.
I'm still new to this kind of comparison, so the first thing I look for is a plain explanation of the terms and the process.
